Humayun Ahmed told the story in the introduction that He had met up with a child who had some problems. But after watching that boy, he didn't decide to write this novel.
From that events, after three years later, He was in London going to Scotland by train. He bought some books so that He could read them in the journey and pass the time. There was a book which writer was Karen Armstrong. From that book, Humayun Ahmed got the elementary seeds to write the Bangla novel named Ke Kotha Koy.
